The hairdryer makes the plastic expand in the dent and the compressed air is cold and makes the plastic contract essentially popping the dent out.

As these two come together they allow a dent to pop out on its own.
The sheet metal of the door panels are not as sturdy as fenders and are easily dented.
You may even be able to repair the door panel dents without having to make any paint repairs.
I ll show you how soon.
If the dent is more serious than you can handle you should bring your vehicle to a professional body repair shop.
Heat the dented area of your vehicle with a hairdryer at the highest setting possible.
Then take the air duster hold it upside down and start spraying on the dented area.
The easiest of all to get out but if they re on a corner you ll have a crease for sure and you ll end up using body filler.
Simply blow some hot air with the hair dryer right over the dent so as to heat it up.
Once you ve taken care of the dent you can put the plastic sheet and the interior door panel in their original positions.
If your dent has avoided the cross structure it should easily be able to be taped out from inside.
The most common dent is a crease that occurs in the middle of the car door.
Gently tap the dent out putting the panel back into place.
But like the door trunk and hood and roof dents may be able to be pulled out.
The cold air followed by the hot will cause contraction and the dent will pop out.
