Linseed Oil Floor Paint

This is usually used in the linseed oil paint for interior floors where the paint needs to dry harder.

Linseed oil is used to describe the oil when it has been processed and used as a paint binder or as a wood finish. One ampoule per 3 liter of linseed oil paint. This type of oil goes through a refinement process and may contain additives that improve its paint cleaning properties. Always apply the linseed oil paint onto a clean and dry surface.

Comes in ampoule and is added to the linseed oil paint before painting. By not coating the wood or giving it a shiny appearance linseed oil presents the wood in a natural way while still giving it the darkened appearance of staining. Linseed oil paint is a natural product made from flax seeds and natural pigments. This type of paint is traditionally used in older homes with many wood surfaces but it can be used on just about any wood surface including siding trim and furniture.

Never drink linseed oil. There are two types of linseed oil that are commonly sold raw and boiled. Linseed oil is a penetrating finish on hardwood floors that does not form a sealant on the wood like polyurethane but instead acts as a stain that enhances the look of your floors. It is used as a preservative for wood concrete and an ingredient in paints varnishes and stains.

As if that wasn t enough it is also used in soaps inks and in the production of linoleum.
