Lines In Sanded Floor

We teach that you should skip only one grit in a sequence but in my area many contractors go from a 36 grit right to an 80 grit on the big machine followed by 100 grit on the buffer.

When you stain the floor you ll see the sanding lines from the 36 grit still faintly going through the floor. Avoiding chatter marks on wood floors. Sanded grout contains fine sand and should be your choice for most tiling projects because it is cheap and provides a tight lock. Unsanded grout contains no sand and is best used for thin grout lines and for delicate tile surfaces as well as for most glass tile.

Now no matter what they do it shows lines or grooves across the floor. This floor was sanded correctly but was aggressively mopped with water against the grain probably in an attempt to remove all the dust.
